Do you Still Receive Chase Paper Statements even After Enrolling in Paperless Statements?  I Found the Solution!

There is no doubt in my mind that Chase is the best credit card company out there (some may disagree with me, but you’re wrong).  With that said, I currently have 2 business cards (bold and plus) and 7 personal credit cards with Chase.  Almost all of my Chase personal credit cards have a credit line of $5,000.  Chase must give you a minimum of $5,000 credit line to be approved for their premier travel credit cards (they say Visa Signature below the Visa logo).  You might not know that after you open a Chase personal credit card with a $5,000 credit line, you can actually move your credit line around and lower your limit to less than $5,000.  This is great for freeing up some available credit for new Chase credit cards and moving credit from cards that do not get much spending (Marriott, IHG, Southwest Plus, Southwest Premier, and United to name a few) to cards that you use more heavily.  You can move credit by calling the number on the back of any Chase credit card or by sending Chase a Secure Message (SM).  Anyway, that is not the point of this post, but maybe that will help some people.  The point of this post is to explain why I was still receiving Chase Ink Bold paper statements in the mail even after enrolling in paperless statements.

Chase Accounts Enrolled in Paperless Statements

While on the phone with a Chase Ink Bold customer service rep, *we* (he didn’t really know where to look) were able to find the Document Center under the Customer Center tab.

Toward the bottom of the page, I clicked Update your paperless preferences.

Somehow one of the circles/bubbles on the bottom was still marked for US Mail, instead of paperless.  After checking both boxes to go paperless and clicking the I Consent box on the bottom, the rep on the phone was able to confirm that all my Chase accounts showed up as enrolled in paperless statements.  If only he could have done that from his side, we could have saved ourselves 10 minutes.

He cautioned that I might receive one more paper statement before the change came into effect, but I told him I just received my last paper statement last night, so he was pretty sure I would not receive any more paper statements going forward.  If your Chase account says you are enrolled in paperless statements, but you still receive paper statements, you will need to manually go into your Chase account and follow the steps above.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great weekend everyone!

P.S. Today only – Chime Card has a deal where you can get $5 cash back after spending $30 or more at BJs Brewery.  Go there and by a BJs gift card and get a holiday beer glass for free :)

Grant, not going to lie but slightly salivating at the long list of Chase cards you have. Ha ha. Thinking of signing up for the Hyatt visa for some MS now that I’m getting a little nervous to use my old blue……
