Do you get an email from AMEX concerning these offers or are they listed somewhere on your AMEX account page? I can’t remember ever receiving any offers!

Sometimes they email them to you, but 90% of the time I find them by logging to my American Express account. There is a tab called Offers For You, then click the link on the bottom of that page to see all offers for that card. Most offers will show up on all your American Express credit cards, but some will only show on one credit card.

I got the Whole Foods offer and was wondering whether Whole Foods sells gift cards to other retailers? I can’t imagine why I’d want to spend $75 at Whole Foods just to get $10 off. I usually shop at Costco or Trader Joe’s, but if they sell gift cards, I’ll take advantage of this offer. Same goes for JC Penney’s & Dollatree… can’t think of what I’d buy in those places… Thanks!

Most of these deals are hard to make a profit on unless you were already going to shop there. They may or may not have gift cards at those locations. Remember dollartree is for online purchases only.

Thanks, Grant. I thought about it some more and I believe WF doesn’t sell GCs to other retailers, so I’ll just buy a WF gift card and use it as necessary, since WF gift cards don’t have expiration dates. Oh, yeah, I checked out dollartree’s website and I could definitely stock up on sufficient dental floss or toothpaste to last me a decade! :)

I was confused since I though WF was Wells Fargo not Whole Foods. I wouldn’t buy a WF gift card unless they have similarly priced items that you would normally buy elsewhere. You can buy them as gifts if you know anyone who shops there. DollarTree sounds like the 99 cent store.
