AMEX Offers

Random News: New AMEX Offers for AT&T / Sprint / T-Mobile / Verizon, Best Buy, PF Chang’s, Elephant Bar, and Nestle Life Water Delivery; Targeted 2,500 Alaska Airlines Bonus Offer; Free $5 Starbucks eGift Card from Discover Card; and New Chime Offers

It’s been a while since I last posted a few good AMEX offers.  These are all targeted offers, but hopefully you have some/all of the ones below.

The first offer seems like a great deal.  I’m guessing that 90% of you have a cell phone from one of the big 4 cell phone providers.  AMEX wants to save you some money.  Up to $30 per registered AMEX card toward your cell phone bill.  This is one of the few offers that allows you to triple dip on the cash back.  Enrollment is limited, so you should hurry and register your AMEX card with this offer.

Some other decent AMEX Offers:

Best Buy AMEX Offer

PF Changs AMEX Offer

Elephant Bar AMEX Offer

Nestle Pure Life Delivery (link) offers to deliver bottled water and other Nestle owned drinks, such as NesTea, Perrier, S.Pellegrino, and others.

In other news, Alaska Airlines is sending out targeted offers to their credit card holders.  My mom received the following offer for 2,500 bonus Alaska Airlines miles.

3x Alaska Airlines Shopping Promo Front

They make my life so easy.  They listed the specific MCC numbers for all qualifying purchases.  If you are unfamiliar with MCCs, please read How are Merchants Categorized?  Find out Here!

I got a nice email from Discover Card yesterday.  They randomly sent out $5 Starbucks eGift Cards to their favorite members (including me).  Just another reason why I like Discover!

$5 Starbucks GC from Discover

Last but not least, my new favorite card, the Chime Cash Back Card, has announced their new deals of the week (gotta love those food deals).  If you are not familiar with Chime, please read my Chime tutorial here.

Chime Offers 1-2 Chime Offers 3-4 Chime Offers 5-7

If you are new to Chime, here is the Sign Up Link (I will receive a $10 statement credit if you sign up and fund your Chime Card with $50 or more before August 15).

Zilch. Nada on AMEX. Would love to get the cell phone offer. I also did not receive the Amazon & Costco Amex offers last week. I wonder if it’s because I only have the personal SPG Amex… I like the card, but the offers I get suck big time (a ton of random restaurants I’d never go to…). Like the first comment said, if anyone knows of a way to get targeted, please share!

The only thing I can say is to get more AMEX credit cards. I have 4 AMEX credits at the moment and they all have different offers, with some overlapping offers. Aside from that, your at the mercy of AMEX.

Got personal and Biz Amex cards and not nothing good – not even that sweet cell phone statement credit.

My SPG Personal is up for renewal and I’m trying to figure out if I should keep it or not. I don’t spend anything more on it, but right now it’s my only personal AMEX. I did just apply for the Everyday, but I don’t know if those are eligible for the same offers. The 2 stays credit and 5 nights in nice, but I may not make SPG plat (or even gold) this year so not sure if it’s worth it. And at worst, I can always get the Amex Plat if I want SPG gold

Yes very true. Unless you need the nights/stays credit, there is no reason to keep the SPG personal card. I would move the credit line over to the other SPG card or AMEX Every Day card and close it. You can always apply in the future if you need the nights/stays credit again.

You can only have 4 AMEX credit cards but many more charge cards. AMEX doesn’t really care about personal vs. business cards.

FWIW – Best buy sells variable load VGC (up to $200) for $5.95. They’re from Metabank, so easily unloaded to your bird/serve card. I just bought 3 @ $200 (+$17.85 fee), split it on two AMEX cards for $50 back. A nice little $33 profit for a few minutes work.

Oh, sync your AMEX cards via Facebook, I registered all 8 of ours for the BBY $25 back that way….
