Vancouver Vacation Trip Reports:
I am not sure how many of you have flown from Vancouver, BC to Los Angeles, CA, but WestJet has a few flights per day at good prices.
In case you are not familiar with WestJet, they are the second largest Canadian airline behind Air Canada and the ninth largest airline in North America (thank you wikipedia). They are, however, not affiliate with any airline alliance. For that reason, I was surprised to see WestJet flights bookable on Delta.com.
I used my American Express Delta Credit Card to book 4 WestJet tickets (3 tickets are in a cheaper fare class than the last ticket). Total charged to the credit card was $839.19. Let’s start from the beginning, shall we? After completing my June app-o-rama (applying for several credit cards on the same day), I was pleased to be approved for a Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express. I was told by American Express that they would send me my new American Express Delta Credit Card by UPS and that I should have it within 1-2 business days. After 2 business days had passed, I decided to wait one more day before calling American Express. At the end of the third business day, I still had no credit card. This is a follow-up/summary of my recent post (Exchange Hawaiian Airline Miles for Hilton HHonor Points) with some more relevant information. Earlier this month, I made 2 transfer from my Hawaiian Airlines account to my Hilton HHonors account. I moved 25,000 miles out on June 10 and another 5,000 miles out on June 13. Hawaiian Airlines told me that transfers take 1-2 weeks to show up.
